City of Sault Ste. Marie

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is a beautiful city with a great and storied history. We are America's third oldest city, founded in 1668. We are located on the St. Mary's River which is home to the Soo Locks, the busiest in the world. The city is proud of her historic treasures, such as the Museum Ship Valley Camp, Fort Brady, and several historic churches.
