Master the craft and spirit of the cedar flute in this immersive workshop. Bud Biron leads a journey through the entire lifecycle of the instrument—from the forest to the final note. Learn about ethical harvesting to honor the tree and ensure its longevity for future generations; step-by-step guidance on how to carve and tune your own cedar flute; and discover the significance of the flute within Indigenous culture. Bud’s unique teaching style seamlessly weaves the Seven Grandfather Teachings into the lesson, showing how these deep-rooted principles apply to our modern, everyday lives.
