The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians invites the public to the 44th Annual Baaweting Homecoming Powwow, taking place July 3–5, 2026 at the Sault Tribe Powwow Grounds in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This vibrant cultural event features traditional dancing, drum competitions, and special contests, with Grand Entries held throughout the weekend.

The celebration begins Thursday, July 2 with an all-day spiritual gathering and sunrise ceremony, followed by a full weekend of dance and drum contests for all age groups. Admission is free, and attendees can also enjoy food and craft vendors, as well as free rustic camping on site.
