A Christmas Carol
December 8 @ 7:00 pm
| $5Performed by Broadway veteran Allen Fitzpatrick
Presented in partnership with the Great Lakes Center for the Arts
This holiday season, join us at the Lake Superior Arts Center for a truly magical evening of storytelling. Broadway’s Allen Fitzpatrick brings Charles Dickens’ beloved A Christmas Carol to life in a way you’ve never seen before — one actor, 26 characters, and a whole world created through voice, movement, and the imagination.
Following in the footsteps of Dickens himself — who began performing public readings of the story not long after writing it — Allen’s performance captures the heart, humor, and humanity that have made this timeless tale a holiday favorite for generations. With a virtually bare stage and nothing but the power of story, audiences are invited to experience Scrooge’s transformation in a deeply personal, unforgettable way.
Dickens’ A Christmas Carol helped define the spirit of Christmas as we know it — family gatherings, festive cheer, generosity, and goodwill. But at its core, it’s also a story about empathy and social conscience, a reminder of the importance of caring for those in need — a message that feels as urgent today as it did in 1843.
