While we do have a poet being featured for this segment, we do plan on inviting other kinds of artists to feature in our future dates. Nothing will change about the Open Mic itself!*

As always, you are welcome to join us at our Open Mic night! Whether you are interested in speaking or not, this is sure to be an evening of laughter, learning, and listening. We invite not just poetry, but songs, raps, prose, comedy, and more – anything that can be performed with a microphone!

Our featured guest for this evening will be Keith Taylor, a recently retired poet from the University of Michigan. Keith is a creative writer who has written and/or edited over 18 books and served as an artist-in-residence for many years. Keith will perform some of his poems for us, which will then be followed by an invitation for the public to perform.
