Sunday August 6th join us for the opening reception of Paint and Metal. Alberta House features the art of Metalworker, Bill Morrison, and Mixed Media Painter, Charles Colbert. Both artists are retired from teaching. Bill taught metal sculpture/ blacksmithing, pottery and drawing in the local schools. Charles is a retired Professor of Art History. Bill went on to produce custom ironworks at Spruce Forge. Several of these pieces can be viewed around the city. A sculpted Garden Gate and a handcrafted, personalized Metal Bench, grace the garden at Alberta House. Charles evolved from teaching and writing about Art to creating his own art. His exhibit, a Retrospective, chronicles the progression of his work from 2012-2023.
