Soo Co-op Credit Union New Year’s Eve Celebration and Anchor Drop

Join us in downtown Sault Ste. Marie for the 2024 Soo Co-op Credit Union New Year’s Eve Celebration and Anchor Drop! Well received last year, we are bringing back children and family fun earlier in the evening before switching it over to adult-friendly activities.
Entertainment provided by Eagle 95.1 – Tim & Lindsey Ellis 6pm – 12am
New Year’s dinner and drink specials all night at participating restaurants and bars
Kids Ball Drop – 8pm
Annual Ball Drop – 12am
Family Friendly Activities 6-8 pm
– Kids storytelling and crafts at Island Books and Crafts, coordinated by EUPISD
– Face painting at Bird’s Eye Outfitters
– Complimentary S’mores Stations at Farmer’s Market and Bird’s Eye Outfitters
– Local entertainer and juggler, Chet Mitchell, performing at intersection of Portage Ave. & Ashmun St. at 7 pm
– Kids storytelling and crafts at Island Books and Crafts, coordinated by EUPISD
– Face painting at Bird’s Eye Outfitters
– Complimentary S’mores Stations at Farmer’s Market and Bird’s Eye Outfitters
– Local entertainer and juggler, Chet Mitchell, performing at intersection of Portage Ave. & Ashmun St. at 7 pm
Adult Activities 7pm-12am
– Beer Tent at Farmer’s Market beginning at 7 pm – all proceeds benefit O.U.T. House Consortium
– 2nd annual New Years Eve Cornhole Tournament, organized by Soo Cornhole – Registration begins at 8 pm, tournament starts at 9pm; $20 registration fee per team (2 person teams); 100% cash payout to the top 3 teams
– Warming stations at Farmer’s Market, Soo Brewery, and Bird’s Eye Outfitters
– .5k Marathon – $20 entry fee includes O.U.T. House Consortium sticker and drink token for beer tent – Check in at Austin’s Cigar Lounge at 11:15 pm – Marathon starts at 11:30 pm, ending at intersection of Ashmun and Portage
