U.P. Literary Hall of Fame Induction

| On Saturday, May 13, at 2 PM, Bayliss Public Library in Sault Ste. Marie is hosting the first induction ceremony for the Upper Peninsula Literary Hall of Fame to honor the great writers from the history of the U.P. Presenters for the event include Bayliss library manager Meredith Sommers, poet April Lindala from Marquette, and writer Alex Vartan Gubbins from Ishpeming. Author Sue Harrison will be in attendance for her induction and will be presenting a selection from her latest book! Nominations for this year’s inductees were provided by Bayliss Public Library, Island Bookstore in Mackinac Island, Munising Public Library, and event organizer Ron Riekki from Negaunee and Palmer. This event is free and open to the public. |
