The Soo Pilots Association (EAA Chapter 1437) will host a Young Eagles Rally at Sanderson Municipal Airport in Sault Ste. Marie as part of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s national Young Eagles program. This special event offers free introductory airplane rides for youth ages 8–17, giving young people the opportunity to experience flight and learn more about aviation while helping inspire the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals.

The rally will take place June 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with June 21 scheduled as a rain date, weather permitting. The event will be held at Sanderson Field, 2144 Meridian Street in Sault Ste. Marie. A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign a permission form before the flight.
