These trips offer a fun adventure for all ages to experience. We also offer weddings, a floating bed and breakfast, special events and public appearances.

Drummond Island Tall Ship Company, owned by husband and wife team Captain Hugh and Julie Covert, offers tall ship sailing trips for the public aboard Schooner Huron Jewel in the Great Lakes and connected waterways.

Schooner Huron Jewel was designed by Captain Hugh. She was built by the Coverts in three years with the help of over fifty volunteers and launched her in June 2018.

Our company’s vision “is to engender a love of the wonders and beauties of the Great Lakes.” One of the ways we do is this by offering to the public overnight trips to various locations in the Great Lakes, such as Drummond Island and Sault Ste Marie, MI.
