The nearest airport to Sault Ste. Marie is the Chippewa County International Airport, located in Kinross, Michigan on the grounds of the former Kincheloe Air Force Base. Regular flights from Detroit (DTW) and Minneapolis (MSP) land at Chippewa International several times daily.
