Great Lakes, Great Movies!
Join us September 11th-15th for the 11th annual Soo Film Festival! Soo Film Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and host film and allied arts festivals in the City of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Soo Film Festival, Inc. seeks to showcase the work of independent and emerging filmmakers from the Great Lakes of North America while bringing movies back to downtown Sault Ste. Marie and the historic Soo Theatre.
The Venues
The festival begins with two evening programs at Bayliss Public Library, just a block away from the Soo Theatre. Admission to the films at the library is free. The festival continues Friday through Sunday at the Soo Theatre.
Celebrating All Emerging Filmmakers
Soo Film Festival places an emphasis on Great Lakes films and filmmakers but entry is open worldwide. All films in every category are eligible for an Audience Award. Festival attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorites.
Many of these films have not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association of America. Please read the full descriptions online, watch the trailers, and choose responsibly.
