Grassroots for Grouse Volunteer Planting Event

The Chippewa Luce Mackinac Conservation District (CLMCD) & UP Resource Conservation and Development Council (UPRCD) are hosting a two-part volunteer event. On Friday, September 18th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, UPRCD is hosting a grass-planting event in Raco, MI (planting site = 46°23’09.3″N, 84°48’07.4″W, USFS 3018 Road). On Saturday, September 19th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, CLMCD is hosting a tree-planting event in Pickford, MI (planting site = 46°08’07.1″N, 84°24’17.5″W, Rutledge Rd). The planting efforts at both sites will support sharp-tailed grouse habitat enhancement. Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
