Sault Ste. Marie Country Club

Ranking among the oldest golf courses in the state, the Sault Ste. Marie Country Club, formerly the Crossings, is over 100 years old.

Once a private club founded by a group of Union Carbide employees, the Sault Country Club has been a 9-hole layout for most of its existence. But in the mid-1980s, the course was expanded to 18 holes, all the ponds were added and three old holes were redesigned. Well-known Michigan architect Jerry Matthews designed the new layout.

Enjoy a casual round of golf, and watch a freighter cruising through the St. Marys River while you putt on the 17th green. Or take on a serious round on the challenging layout.

You can grab a bite to eat in the GrillRoom 1901, a restaurant, in the clubhouse complete with a full menu.
