The Sault Country Club

Ranking among the oldest golf courses in the state, the Sault Ste. Marie Country club, formerly the Crossings, is over 100 years old.

Once a private club founded by a group of Union Carbide employees, the Sault Country Club has been a 9-hole layout for most of its existence. But in the mid 1980s, the course was expanded to 18 holes, all of the ponds were added and three of the old holes were redesigned. Well-known Michigan architect Jerry Matthews designed the new layout.

Enjoy a casual round of golf, and watch a freighter cruising through the St. Marys River while you putt on the 17th green. Or take on a serious round on the challenging layout.

Grab a bite to eat in the GrillRoom 1901, a restaurant, in the clubhouse complete with a full menu.
