Traveling between the Twin Soos this Halloween? You’re in for a treat!
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge will celebrate its 64th anniversary by rolling back passenger vehicle tolls to prices from the mid-1960s.
For 24 hours, from midnight to midnight, passenger vehicle tolls will be reduced to just $1.50 USD or $2.00 CAD, giving travelers a chance to cross the border at a price reminiscent of the bridge’s early years.
The International Bridge first opened on October 31, 1962, connecting Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. More than six decades later, it continues to serve as an important connection between the two communities.
