You’re always hearing my story with My pictures, but today we’re going to explore Sault Ste. Marie through the cameras of other people. Instagram is an amazing plethora of photos taken in the moment as individuals explore the world around them; here is a small collection that really capture our area.
Welcome to the gateway of the north, the Mackinac Bridge!
First place you have to stop is the Soo Locks Park observation deck.
Don’t forget to take a Soo Locks Boat Tour!
Museum Ship Valley Camp can be explored inside and on top!
Grab lunch at the West Pier Drive-In.
Wander around downtown Portage Ave across from the locks.
Check out the local art on roads and buildings.
Find something sweet while you’re down there.
Find handcrafted beer and kid friendly Root Beer!
Go for a round of mini golf and watch the freighters (or be watched by them)!
Don’t forget to eat dinner!
Take a paddling adventure on the St. Marys River.
Go for a hike!
Kick back and watch the world go by.
Take a picture of a STUNNING sunset!
There’s so much to see in Sault Ste. Marie that I can’t include it all here, but I’ll do a post like this again and show you more. Tag your social media photos #ILoveTheSoo and maybe you’ll be in the next blog. Thanks again to all of the great photographers that gave us permission to use their photos.
