Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Jan. 27, 2025—The Sault Area Arts Council (SAAC) invites artists from across the Upper Peninsula, Northern Lower Peninsula, and Algoma District of Ontario to submit artwork to its upcoming Artists’ Choice juried exhibition. The exhibition will be on display during April at the SAAC’s Olive M. Craig Gallery in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. All 2D and 3D art mediums, abstract or representational, are welcome.
“This show offers artists the opportunity to showcase the medium and theme that resonates most with their art practice,” said Libbey Brown, SAAC operations manager. “Art reflects its maker, and I am honored to provide a space where artists are free to step outside the confines of specific categories and share their creative explorations. Participating in this show allows artists to take risks, tell personal stories, and push the boundaries of their creativity without limitations. It’s a chance to gain exposure, inspire others, and contribute to the vibrant dialogue within the Sault’s creative community.”
This show will be juried by Michigan artist Victoria Hussey, who earned her MFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Hussey works with various materials and is continually inspired by the beauty and serenity of natural landscapes. Learn more about her at victoriahussey.com.
