CLMCAA Hosts Annual Brat Fundraiser to Support Homeless in the Tri-County Area

Sault Ste. Marie, MI — June 18, 2025 — Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency (CLMCAA) invites community members to attend the annual Bratwurst Fundraiser on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Soo Brewing Company, located at 100 W Portage Ave in downtown Sault Ste. Marie.

With a suggested donation of $8, attendees can enjoy a classic bratwurst dinner while helping CLMCAA reach its goal of raising $2,500—enough to provide 30 nights of emergency shelter for individuals and families facing homelessness in Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac Counties.

“We’re grateful for the community’s continued support,” said Joe Nolan, Executive Director of CLMCAA. “This event helps provide more than just a meal or a bed—it offers hope and safety when it’s needed most.”

Soo Brewing Company is once again generously hosting and supporting the event.

“It’s an honor to partner with Community Action for another year,” said Ray Bauer, owner of Soo Brewing Company. “Events like this show how powerful our community can be when we come together to support one another.”

The evening will feature a delicious selection of bratwursts, sides, and beverages, all provided with the help of Soo Brewing Company. Guests will also have an opportunity to learn more about CLMCAA’s services and explore ways to support their mission year-round.
